Connector · WordPress and WooCommerce
Rebuild your WordPress website — connected in one click.
WordPress asks you to allow ReWynder to read your site. Nothing is installed, nothing is changed, and our access is revoked the moment the copy is complete. If that path is not available, a self-removing connector or a backup upload takes over — and a crawl is always the floor.
- Connect WordPress
WordPress asks you to allow ReWynder to read your site through an application password. Nothing is installed. We read pages, posts, custom post types, menus, media and settings — and revoke our own access the moment the copy is complete.
- Install the ReWynder Connector
A small plugin, packaged for your project only, copies your database and wp-content in chunks and removes itself when it is done. Pure PHP, outbound only, works on locked-down shared hosting.
- Upload a backup
An All-in-One WP Migration (.wpress), Duplicator or UpdraftPlus archive, or a zip with your SQL dump and files. Large files resume by themselves.
- Read the public site
A real browser renders every page — sitemap first, then every link — and captures text, structure, images, computed styles and screenshots. Always available, always last.
What the connection reads
- Site title, tagline, language, timezone, front-page settings
- Pages, posts and every public custom post type — published items only
- Categories, tags and custom taxonomies attached to each item
- Media originals with alt text, title, dimensions and type
- Navigation menus up to three levels deep (WordPress 5.9 and later)
- Yoast SEO titles and descriptions, featured images
- WooCommerce products: prices, SKU, stock, galleries — through the public Store API
What it never reads
- Theme or plugin code, or any file on your server
- The database itself
- User accounts and their data
- Drafts, private posts, comments
- wp-config.php or any secret
The application password is deleted through WordPress itself as soon as the copy ends. Until then it lives in a secrets vault, never in a database row or a log line.
When the connection is not enough
The connector, then a backup.
The ReWynder Connector for WordPress
A small plugin, packaged for your project alone, that copies your database table by table and your wp-content uploads, themes and plugins in chunks of a few megabytes. Pure PHP, no external tools, no shell access — it works on locked-down shared hosting. It talks out to ReWynder only, opens nothing inbound, writes one progress row, and deactivates and deletes itself when the copy is acknowledged.
- WordPress 5.6 or later, PHP 7.4 or later
- Resumes after any interruption; pause it from its own screen
- User accounts, customer records and comment authors left out by default; wp-config.php, caches and old backups never walked
Upload a backup
Already have a backup tool? Export with All-in-One WP Migration (.wpress), Duplicator (.zip / .daf) or UpdraftPlus, or zip your SQL dump together with your files folder, and upload it — up to 20 GB, in resumable chunks that survive a dropped connection. ReWynder parses the dump itself and copies the media it references. Nothing runs on your server.
On WordPress.com the one-click connection is available; the plugin and upload paths are not, and the public site is read for anything the connection cannot reach.
What comes out
A rebuilt WordPress website that knows where it came from.
Posts become a collection
Posts, products and custom post types are recognised as collections. Three examples guide the design; every row is carried into the new site’s own CMS, where you keep writing.
Menus become navigation
Your navigation menus, with their nesting, become the new site’s navigation. Widgets and plugin output are inventoried as functionality and rebuilt where they matter.
Permalinks redirect
Every old permalink gets a 301 to its new address in the blueprint’s redirect table. Search rankings, backlinks and bookmarks survive the move.
